Parque Ibiraquera

A gorgeous day in the park and the Japanese gardens

“Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination, and the journey. They are home.”

Anna Quindlen

We visited the Parque Ibiraquera in Sao Paulo.

Local people

Keeping fit

Families, couples, singles

Running, walking, biking, rollers

Mature. Young

Fit. Flabby.

Lake. Water. Cranes. Swans.

Reflections. Beauty.

Sunny. Cloudy. Spots of rain.

Japanese gardens.

Trip Adviser says it’s one of

The top attractions in São Paulo.

Only saw it this evening.

Our young hosts frequented

The parque as they lived nearby.

They decided to take us.

Lots of walking but oh so good.

Then to lunch.

A touch of Arabia. Turkish.

A salad bar fit for the main course.

Suco de limão.

Suco de abacaxi. Pineapple juice.

Love how the word ‘abacaxi’ … a-bac-a-shee … rolls off the tongue.

All delicious.

Pleasant company.

Thank you again for a splendid day!

This evening another walk around the neighbourhood.

A stop at a sushi bar for a snack.

Day 2 – it seems like we’ve been

Here much longer.

Travelling to places new. This blog will trace our journey. Will report the good and the not so good. Sharing photos and experiences that may be useful to you at some time in the future. Some posts will be written after the event. Brazil, here we come!
